Google Search Console untuk Entity Tracking

Cara memakai GSC untuk track entity-specific metric: brand query, Knowledge Graph impressions, structured data errors.

GSC adalah tool gratis paling valuable untuk entity tracking. Yang dibahas di tutorial umum adalah keyword performance. Tapi GSC juga expose data entity-specific yang under-used.

Report yang matter untuk entity

  1. Performance > Queries. Filter 'brand queries' untuk baseline visibility.
  2. Enhancements > Structured data. Errors dan warnings per schema type.
  3. Enhancements > Breadcrumbs. Dedicated breadcrumb tracking.
  4. Enhancements > FAQ / HowTo. Rich result eligibility.
  5. Coverage > Valid, Excluded, Error. Index health.
  6. Links > Top linked pages internally. Internal authority flow.
  7. Links > External sites linking. Backlink inventory.

Brand query filtering

Di Performance > Queries:
  Filter: "Query contains [brand name]"
  Date range: 28 days + compare 28 days previous
  Metrics: Impressions, Clicks, CTR, Position

Expected pattern yang healthy:
  - Impressions stable or growing MoM
  - Position < 3 for brand query
  - CTR > 40% for brand query (top position)

Red flag:
  - Impressions decline sudden 20%+
  - Position drop from 1 to 3+
  - CTR drop 10+ points

Structured data monitoring

  • Weekly review 'Enhancements' reports.Detect schema drift early.
  • Zero tolerance untuk 'Errors' di primary schema.Organization, Person, Product harus error-free.
  • Warnings OK kalau < 10% halaman.Non-critical bila low ratio.
  • Compare errors trend weekly.Increase = investigate.
  • Download data CSV untuk arsip.Historical baseline.

Knowledge Panel tracking (indirect)

GSC tidak punya Knowledge Panel explicit report, tapi indicator tersedia:

  • Brand query dengan Position 0 atau 1 konsisten = panel present.
  • CTR untuk brand query drop sudden = possibly panel hilang.
  • Impressions naik tapi clicks stagnant = panel ada tapi user tidak klik (normal bila panel memberi info langsung).
  • Specific Enhancement '/#organization' schema pass = signal panel healthy.

Alerts setup

Di GSC, setup alerts untuk:
  1. Coverage decrease > 20% (urgent)
  2. Manual action (critical, always urgent)
  3. Enhancement errors appear (high priority)
  4. Mobile usability errors (medium)

Email settings:
  Immediate alerts for critical
  Weekly digest for routine
Hidden gem

GSC > Performance > filter Query contains 'brand name' dan sort by Impressions descending. Top 50 queries show apa yang user associate dengan brand. Surprise insights come from here.
